After a wildly successful stop at SXSW, where we welcomed over a thousand film fans, the Mobile Closet is making its way to Vidiots and American Cinematheque in LA.

Following its wildly successful launch at the New York Film Festival and a Brooklyn stop at St. Ann’s Warehouse, the Criterion Mobile Closet is making its first trip outside of New York City this March.

In celebration of our fortieth anniversary, Criterion has built a replica of our famous films closet inside an eighteen-foot delivery van, and later this month, we’ll be taking our Criterion Closet Picks show on the road.

Starting this fall, Criterion will proudly join Janus Films in presenting Janus Contemporaries, a new line of home-video editions of first-run releases, fresh from theaters, following their streaming premieres on the Criterion Channel.

We discovered this weekend that there is a problem with Blu-ray disc 1 in all of our Citizen Kane editions that affects the contrast in the feature film. We’ll be making replacements available to all of our customers!

We’re thrilled to announce the first of our 4K Ultra HD releases.

Many of the films in this box set are presented in new versions that feature adjustments prompted by the restoration process. Here Wong explains what compelled him to make these changes.
