Steve Blauner on BBS Productions
Steve Blauner, one of the founders of BBS, the production company that produced Five Easy Pieces, The Last Picture Show, The King of Marvin Gardens, and more, died last month at age eighty-one. We were lucky enough to sit down with him a few years ago to talk about his experiences with the legendary company for our collector’s set America Lost and Found: The BBS Story. In this clip from that interview, Blauner describes the exciting, creative early days of BBS, which was officially formed after he, Bert Schneider, and Bob Rafelson found mammoth success making Easy Rider.
