Guess Who’s Coming to Town

BAMCinématek in Brooklyn rocks on this week with its cinematic celebration of the Who. Running November 2–15, the series A Quick One, While the Who's in Town is set to coincide with the British band’s November 14 performance at Brooklyn’s new Barclays Center arena, just a couple of blocks away. The program kicks off with a weeklong run of a new 35 mm print of Quadrophenia, followed by screenings of Ken Russell’s Lisztomania and Tommy and Jeff Stein’s documentary The Kids Are Alright. Below, check out a clip from Quadrophenia, in which the film’s troubled teen protagonist, Jimmy (Anthony Daniels), air drums along with the legendary band on television.
